Oh Spring break! Feels so different once you're out of school. It actually feels just like another week of the year, only that all stores, beaches and restaurants are packed with people for what I rather stay home with a Venti iced green tea latte with soy milk and a good movie. Yes, that's my updated spring break.

However, even out of college I'm still thinking of going to the beach; this white-on-white spring trend makes me feel fresh and clean, and it's the perfect excuse to get a tan. Another massive event taking place here in Texas this week is SXSW. Last year was a blast working with CollegeFashionista X Michaels, so this year I'll be on the other side of things.

Hello March! The month where spring begins and when pastel colors start hitting the streets. I'm not a lot into trends but there's a je ne sais quoi about Spring that I absolutely adore. Even though the tricky weather doesn't always let me wear my favorite pair of sandals, it's about playing with what you have from winter and summer and just mix and match all - period. 

As you can see the statement of this post are the coat and hat; simple yet stylish. I might say good-bye to my favorite pink coat once the heat settles in the RGV, but my hat well, you might see my hats... a lot!

Forever & Always Black

Hi, I'm Sara and I'm addicted to black. They say the first step is to admit it and, although I'm obsessed with pastel colors, I realize that black is the winning color in my wardrobe. Be it for a long day at work, going to brunch with my friends, taking a coffee break or even for a night out -- black never fails me. When I wake up on the wrong side of the bed or simply not in the mood to change, black becomes my best friend during my darkest of hours (no pun intended). 

Maybe this addiction will change during the upcoming warm weather. Who knows! However, I'm certain one thing will never change -- black will always be the new black.

Let's talk about clothing! What a dilemma every day when you wake up to your closet and ask the million dollar question, "What should I wear?" You want to wear a blouse and then you remember you used it two days before; instead of putting it at the end of your closet, take it out and accessorize! I believe it is more interesting and original to learn how to wear the same piece over and over with different accessories, than wearing new pieces ever day -- and, it saves you money! Just take Olivia Palermo as an example, wear what you love every time you want to in different ways instead of wearing what everybody's wearing thinking that it's "fashionable".

The key is to be organized and selective. An organized closet can help you more than you think and picking your outfit the night before saves a lot of time as well. Remember that it is not about quantity it is about quality. You can have 10 great pieces in your wardrobe that you can mix and match around 25 times! Think about it next time you go shopping.
