Lately I've been wearing too much pink. Not the bright pink color that makes your eyes hurt but the soft, girly, pretty pink. Maybe it's my inner girly-girl but I thought in doing a quick post with this outfit to remember  you all about October as our Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know it as the pink power month to create awareness but it is also about taking action and prevent this disease.
Even though you may not have a relative fighting against breast cancer, you know a friend of a friend, and I truly believe that's enough reason to have the motivation to fight. We all dream of a better world so people like you and me live happy, but the only way to make it happen is by taking action and have the willingness to help.

Piperlime & Moments of Chic

Skirt: Piperlime Collection / Top: Lanston by Piperlime (similar here) / Boots: Candies / Bag: Zac Posen / Sunnies: H&M / Hat: ASOS

I’m so happy to announce my first collaboration with Piperlime - Moments of Chic!
Living in a city like New York is always about being comfortable yet making a statement. Yes, it is the tricky challenge of everyday.
No matter how glamorous or extravagant your life is, you have to make your #ootd comfy for the streets. Trust me, is never as glamorous as it seems. Lucky for me, Piperlime  gave me the perfect outfit for me. I was excited when I got my package, not only because pastels are my favorite colors, but this blush midi skirt is right on time for the season. Enough of skinny jeans for a while - There’s always a way to make that summer-fall transition appropriate in a blush skirt.
In this case, for a Sunday morning walking around South Street Seaport, I wore my Piperlime long sleeve top and midi skirt accessorized with my studded silver necklace, camel booties and my favorite black fedora hat to give what I call a bohemian-girly-girl vibe.
As the Moments of Chic phrase would say, is all about making every day and every occasion a moment of chicness, a moment to remember – and since I couldn’t agree more, I am very excited to be part of such a beautiful collaboration.
Thank you Piperlime for making me part of your #momentsofchic and for the fabulous outfit! How do you dress for a moment of chic?

Love,

The Street Style Recap

Photography by: Sara Castillo, blogger of The Street Styler

There are no words to describe how excited I am about this post. After some technical difficulties I can finally show you some of my amazing street style findings during New York Fashion Week.
I noticed that no matter how bad the New York City’s humid-weather gets, it is never an excuse for the venue of Fashionistas to hit the streets with their amazing outfits.
The threat of rain during the day doesn’t always mean to “must-wear” rainy boots and take the umbrellas on a big hobo bag. On the contrary, this weather challenge makes people to take outrageous risks and get more creative with their outfit of the day because after all, it was Fashion Week.
The key? Accessories! Backpacks and sneakers were some of the main focal points on the cameras – I guess we’re going back to basics since even Alexander Wang thinks the same way with his SS 15 collection.
Among the feminine crowd there was a lot of crop tops, of course not the trashy kind but a more subtle cut out combined with pants or midi skirts that created a balance of skin-showing.
The more the days passed the more style-uniqueness I saw. Personally, I believe that every shot is a story to tell and every look is a piece of art .
