In honor of Valentine's Day which is around the corner, I wanted to write this post. Even though my Valentine's is a couple miles away from me right now, it doesn't mean I have to stay home in PJ's, drinking wine and watching Netflix… well, that sound like a great plan BUT it is also a day to celebrate friendships.
As I mentioned a blog before, after-college life is when you start meeting people of your own - those who understand how bad you need a glass of wine at 3pm, those who laugh with you even though they don't get the joke (language barriers,) tell you what shoes to wear with an outfit you thought you would never try, those who would tell you how crappy you look and glam you up in the moment and most importantly, those who are there to listen to your struggles because they might be going through the same. Joel, from Moorehisstyle.com is definitely one of those friends… can't you tell? I feel so blessed to have people like him in my life and I have a feeling these friendships are going on forever.

To all my fashionable-new-life-lasting friends: I LOVE YOU & Happy Valentine's Day!

Love,
S

Hey WA!

Blazer: H&M / Sweater: Quinn / Jeans: AG Jeans / Shoes: Zara / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

This weekend was one of the best. Having a getaway weekend is always a good idea - even if it's only a few hours away, like Washington DC. Trust me, it makes a huge difference. You know when you are so focus in something that suddenly when you escape for a tiny bit you realize it was a solo-time you actually needed? That is exactly how it was.
Washington is a small town full of diversity, breath-taking monuments and museums, and extremely clean streets. It was a totally getaway from my beloved New York and I'm so happy I had the chance to visit and share it with my friends.
It is always a good idea to getaway, clear your mind, learn about culture, smile, and of course, dress for the occasion!
Love,
S

Making Memories

There is nothing better than sharing your dreams with your friends. However, there is nothing better than making those dreams into goals and sharing them with friends that actually dream your dreams.
I once was told that during college is when you start finding your own people - the people of your "own kind." Sounds weird and I actually didn't believe it until I realized that the people I spend most of my time with are the ones I have everything in common with.
It can be the fact of moving to the same city or even working on the same industry or better yet, both! This is the mysterious yet fascinating thing about life and I am so blessed to have found my own.
That being said, I thought it would be cool to share some of their fabulous style in my blog throughout the month. Black-on-black has become one of my favorite trends and the most easy-throw-on in the morning… guess my friends thought the same way. This proves that even though you share same interests and dreams with other people it is funny how each one has its uniqueness - look closer.

Love,
S
