NYFW vol. 1

Walking on the streets of Manhattan is always exciting. On my free time I love to carry my red Nikon camera and see what new perspective and stylist tips I can grab from the streets – therefore my blog “The Street Styler.”
Well, this time was the beginning of Fashion week and while I was walking towards the Lincoln Center, I could see the extra glamorous details in some peoples clothes and accessories – while I kept walking it was not only one out of five in the street but even groups of people with extraordinary sense of style as if they were taking from a magazine ad.
The closer I was to the Lincoln Center, the more contagious was the environment of truly Fashionistas walking around and making the street their runway. Woman with transparent boots, oversized puffy skirts and even some of them walking with their dogs as accessories – and the boys with clutch bags, ridiculous cool sunglasses and extra layers of shirts that made them the perfect gentleman look.
New York Fashion Week is always the most expected time of the year for the fashion industry, is like a wake up call for every one involved - be it magazine editors, public relations companies, designers and models to even bloggers, make up artists and upcoming designers. It is the time where standing out is a challenge and taking your network seriously is the key to succeed.
There I was walking around Lincoln Center with my red camera matching my red lips, ready to take some shots for today’s post. I must confess I was nervous about of the unknown but once I got there I felt I was finally in the right place. It is a breathtaking experience and luckily for my first day in fashion week, it was easier and fun as it looks like.

Love,
S
